Dr. Gustav H. Beerel, the President and COO

Dr. Beerel's successful career includes Chief Executive Officer of EnvaPower, Inc., a world-class power market intelligence company serving international banks, hedge funds and utilities in both the U.S. and Europe, Corporate Vice President of Energy Supply and Regional Executive Vice President of New Energy Ventures, Inc, the largest energy service provider in the deregulating electricity market in the United States, Corporate Senior Vice President of AES an international power generation company, and  Manager of Dow Chemical, Inc. where he supported the optimization of 2,000 MW of power/steam co-generation.    Dr. Beerel earned an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1995, with an emphasis in Corporate Risk Management.  He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, with a doctoral thesis in the practical application of stochastic optimization theory.   Dr. Beerel completed a dual Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and French, Magna Cum Laude, from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1982.   He currently resides just outside of Boston, Massachusetts.
